Bath vs Shower: Which Adds to Home Value?
February 12, 2022When Should I Replace My Front Door?
March 25, 2022How many times do you have to rummage through your drawer space before finally deciding it’s time to organize? Organizing the bathroom sounds like one of the easiest tasks in the home… until you actually start! This is where many people start to feel overwhelmed and feel like they have too little space or too much stuff. To help, we’ve made a guide covering some of the best bathroom organizing tips that anyone can use to whip their bathroom right back into shape (and use the space you have to the max).
Easy Bathroom Organizing Ideas
Clean Up
The first step to a more organized bathroom is to clean up your space. Go through everything in the bathroom and throw away anything that doesn’t complement the room or things nobody really uses or looks at.
Every bathroom has clutter. Clear this clutter by going through products in the bathroom storage areas and cabinet doors. Get rid of everything that might have a best-before date long past or things that you don’t particularly use too often.
After you have sorted through everything, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bathroom. While nobody likes to admit it, everyone has mildew somewhere in their bathroom, or in a corner, they have never scrubbed before.
Use Organizers
Don’t underestimate what organizers can do for even the smallest bathrooms. Organizers are available in every shape and size imaginable. You can even find some organizers that stack to save space.
Most items laying around in the bathroom can more than likely benefit from going in an organizer. Find storage solutions for everything from medications to shampoos. If you share a bathroom with a spouse, family member, or friend, use organizers to split belongings and reduce any mix-ups.
Organizers are cheap, light, and easy to clean. If you don’t use organizers to save space in your bathroom yet, it’s not too late to start!
Bring in Cabinets
Cabinets are a great way to save space if you have a considerable amount of wall space. If you have too much standing around in the bathroom or would just like to bring in a feature to a naked wall, add cabinets.
Cabinets can do a lot for the look of the bathroom while also serving as an easily accessible storage solution.
Towel Racks
Towels can take up a lot of space in a small bathroom if you don’t know what to do with them. Bring in towel racks and do away with towels hanging from the basin or throwing them on the floor. Towel racks can also compliment a space and bring in some order where there wasn’t any. Properly installed, towel racks can last for decades.
Hanging Space
If you are really lost for space in your bathroom, why don’t you make use of the roof? Hanging storage space is common in places with little floor space. However, hanging space is uncommon in most bathrooms just because people have not thought of it yet.
Shelves
If you have more things in your bathroom to organize, simple shelves can fix the rest. The addition of a couple of open shelves to adorn bathroom walls can be used as extra storage space to stack everything from shampoos to indoor plants. As an added bonus, shelves won’t use any of the floor space in smaller bathrooms.
